The short version
In normal use this site sets no cookies. Nothing optional, meaning nothing that sends your details to another company, loads until you allow it. You choose when you first arrive, you can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings control in the footer, and choosing nothing means no. There is one rare exception, described below.
What is stored in your browser
One item, kept by this website in your browser's local storage, under the name llm_consent. It records the version of the notice you answered, the time you answered and a yes or no for each optional category. It is needed to remember your answer, it stays on your device, and it is not sent to us or to anyone else. It stays until you change your answer or clear this site's data in your browser. If your browser blocks storage, your answer cannot be remembered and optional content stays off.
The page also reads whether your device asks for reduced motion and whether data saver is on. Neither is stored or sent anywhere.
The one cookie, and when it is set
If you turn optional content off but your browser will not let this site save that choice, the site tries to leave a small cookie called llm_revoked, holding only a date and time, so that an earlier "yes" is not read back later, including in a new tab. It is set only in that failure case, lasts one year, and is ignored once you save a newer choice. Unlike the other items it is an ordinary cookie for this website, so your browser includes it with its requests to this website, as it does with any cookie; this site's own contact code does not read it, and we have added nothing that logs or keeps it. Whether the hosting provider's server logs record request headers is an open item in the privacy policy. The site also keeps the same date in this tab's session storage and window name for the length of the tab; neither of those is sent anywhere. If your browser refuses every one of these, nothing can record that you said no, and the page tells you so.
Optional categories
Every optional category starts off. Allowing one never allows another.
- Video playback
- The example films are streamed from Cloudflare Stream. If you allow this category and play a film, your browser requests the video from Cloudflare, which receives your IP address and browser details. If you do not allow it, the player explains this and requests nothing. The rest of the site, including our own background video, does not depend on this choice.
- Chat
- Not used on this site at the moment. If a chat service is added, it will be listed here and will load only after you allow this category.
- Analytics
- Not used on this site. No analytics tool is installed.
- Marketing
- Not used on this site. No advertising or audience-measurement pixel is installed.
TODO Confirm with Cloudflare whether Stream sets cookies or stores anything in the browser when a film plays, and list each one here with its purpose and lifetime. The repository cannot show this, so it is not stated.
Things this site does not load
The typeface is served from this website, so no font service is contacted. No page contains a third-party script or an embedded frame. One exception to "nothing loads from another company": a few pages made for individual clients, which are not listed in search engines, load their images and films from our customer relationship system's media storage as soon as they open, so that service receives the standard request information (your IP address and browser details). Those images and films are the content of those pages, so they are not covered by the optional-content choice. The Book buttons and the client login link take you to a separate booking platform, which is a different website with its own cookies and its own policy; nothing is sent to it until you arrive there.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page. When you withdraw a category, the site stops making those requests, closes any open film and removes any optional item it added. Where a provider's script cannot be switched off without reloading, the page reloads for you. We cannot take back information a provider received while your choice was on. Contact that provider about it, using the privacy link shown beside each category.
